  • Summer Holiday Football Training 
    in Bulgaria, Romania and Russia

    Open to children of all abilities, our training camps aim to combine fun and learning through football. The training sessions incorporate fun, fast moving games that enable your child to enjoy a great football camp experience regardless of their ability. We ensure that the children will have a fantastic experience of playing football, learning new games and skills, meeting new friends and having lots fun whilst doing so.

    Camp Length: 5 days (non-residential).

    The concept of the Sofia summer camps is to offer “Education and values through sport.”
    Play football in a totally British English environment, led by experienced British teachers and coaches.  Your children, both boys and girls, will have a unique chance to be involved in a real club like environment designed for children with without having to travel to the UK. The program aims to provide learning entirely in English, complement cognitive skills and enhance participants’ level of concentration and participation.  Values such as fairness, teambuilding, equality, discipline, inclusion, perseverance and respect will be taught.

    Venue: Rosinka Sports Complex, IRC Rosinka. Angelovo Village, Krasnogorsky oblast.

    Time:   10:00-17:00

    Ages:    5-14

    Based in the North West of Moscow at Rosinka – a gated complex with indoor and outdoor sports facilities and artificial turf football pitch. These British Football School 1 week-long non-residential camps will take place outdoors, with alternative indoor facilities available in case of bad weather. Lunch-times will consist of fun football games and quizzes and tactical discussion. Food is not provided.

  • ST PETERBURG RUSSIA 

    Dates: Monday 26th August to Friday 30th August
    Location: St. Petersburg, Russia Camp Length: 5 days (non-residential) Ages: 7-12
    Time: 09:00-17:00
    With its favourable summer climate, St Petersburg is a great location for a camp, where the children can enjoy the sunshine and work up a sweat! The camp will take place in the centre of the city, in the highstandard, newly constructed grounds of Cambridge International School. The training field is artificial grass with modern facilities. During the hottest part of the day, participants will go indoors to refresh and dine. Two hours of each day are dedicated to football themed English language activities, including quizzes, team-building exercises and tactical discussion. Coach Dean will lead the training sessions, bringing with him coaching experience from the UK and across Eastern Europe. Sessions will be delivered in a structured, developmental and FUN style that will allow every child to improve individually.
    A typical day at the British Football School St Petersburg holiday camp includes:

  • MANCHESTER CITY FC

    Location: Manchester City Academy, Manchester, UK.
    Ages: 9-16

    THE PROGRAMME

    Fully immersive football & language programme for 9-16 year olds designed to give an authentic insight into the life of a Manchester City player at the Etihad Campus

    DEVELOP ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS

    – Undertake interactive studies around the importance of nutrition, hydration and how players fuel their bodies to play to the best of their abilities.

    – Learn how to accurately analyse tactical situations and systems of play in match analysis workshops.

    – Experience what it’s like to be in the spotlight with a media training session, practicing presentation skills and tactful use of language in interviews and press conference situations. .

    – Develop a greater understanding of cultural differences and diversity in football, learning effective communication in an international setting.

    The course lasts for two weeks. Children arrive on the Sunday afternoon and are met at the airport by a BFS staff member (Richard or James) and delivered to their accommodation with other children attending the camp. They will then be welcomed and receive their football kit, course materials then be introduced to the rest of the children in the group and have the first evening to relax.

    On the first day of training the children arrive to breakfast at and together with a BFS staff member then travel to the Connell College to start their English language studies and later their football trainings. On all other days the children attend the remaining English language studies with English teachers and football trainings with Manchester City football coaches together with the group without a BFS member of staff. During the middle weekend the children attend a tour of the Manchester City Stadium, visit the National Football Museum in Manchester and have an exciting trip to the seaside to visit Blackpool Theme Park or the historic city of York!

    On the final day the children are taken to the airport with a BFS staff member and fly home.

    WHAT TO BRING?

    Sessions take place outdoors, so the correct sports clothing should be worn. This includes a football kit (shirt, shorts and socks – provided by us), football boots (NO METAL BOOTS) and training shoes. All children should bring a cap or hat and rainjacket and sweatpants in case of bad weather. We also ask parents to consider providing your children with shin pads to prevent any injuries as well.

    DO YOU PROVIDE ANY EQUIPMENT?

    All the children who attend the week will receive a British Football School football kit (shirt, shorts and socks).

    DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD?

    During the camp there are three meals a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner – with a wide variety of modern cuisine to keep balanced diet through the training period.
